This comprehensive training is designed for special education program teachers, support staff and adminstrators to effectively implement Unique Learning System (ULS) and News-2-You in their classrooms.
Participants will explore best practices for pre-ARD planning, data collection, legal compliance, effective communication strategies, and documentation. Through hands-on activities, real-world scenarios, and guided discussions, educators will learn how to proactively prepare for meetings, address concerns, and advocate for student needs while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.
Participants will leave with knowledge that allows them to understand why students with autism might behave the way that they do. They will learn how to utilize student's unique learning styles to help them learn most effectively.
Participants will learn to look at behavior through the lens of autism for students on the autism spectrum. They will leave with an understanding of how applying strategies that meet a students unique makeup will be more effective in helping students success behaviorally.
